Clinical Imaging

Hospitals, doctors, clinics and medical specialists make use of clinical imaging solutions.  A simple example of clinical imaging is digital signage used in a hospital environment that essentially becomes an internal television channel on which relevant information can be presented to patients at the appropriate times.  Questek Advanced Technologies can supply clinical and other imaging solutions to many industries.

In some clinical applications, a high-precision and very powerful projector may be required.  The ProjectionDesign F3+ with DLP technology fulfils this purpose and is perhaps the best projector of its type available today and certainly the most powerful single-chip DLP projector.  Thanks to its ability to resolve extremely fine graphical detail, it can display intricate clinical images like MR and X-Ray.  It features an SXGA+ resolution, which contains almost twice as many pixels as XGA, with support for 1,600 x 1,200.  It may be regarded as almost “resolution-less”, because image quality closely approximates a continuous analogue image.

Sony manufactures the DICOM Gamma monitor, which is typically used for simple picture viewing in clinical environments, most often in conferences and for educational purposes.  This monitor offers 1,080 Full HD with a very fine resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 in its conference mode.  The simpler and more affordable Sony Ziris is more suited to the aforementioned digital signage application with monitors in every ward or room.
